And they was wrong for sayin that. P showed me he can hold down a legitimate solo effort. And he gained my respect as a solo artist. I don't think it's fair to lump solely group nikkas against solo acts. U got nikkas like Biggie. Pac. Nas. Cube. Face. Etc who have done a plethora of albums solo AND have done group work. Nah kid. Nobody sayin Dre ain't dope. Nobody sayin dude ain't a legend. What I'm sayin is. He don't get to be put over the GOATS of this cause of this issue. Dude don't even got a 10 song album worth of solo rap material over all these years. So that knocks him down a few pegs when comparing him to CERTAIN nikkas. So people bringing up random corny solo acts is retarded. Cause obviously he's better than them. But putting him up against the GOATS of this hip hop shyt? He can't surpass them. It's not fair to them or their achievements.

Basically. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of people putting Prodigy in a Top 5 without a solo, but then say they can't put Andre 3000 in a Top 10. On top of that even with Prodigy having solo material, people still use Infamous and Hell On Earth to defend him being a GOAT. They'll even concede that solo Prodigy isn't prime Prodigy, therefore his output in Mobb Deep justifies him being a GOAT. Now all of a sudden Andre 3000's output with Kast and his features can't be criteria because he never dropped a solo? But yeah, I can't objectively put Andre 3000 over Biggie, Pac, Nas, Cube, or Face. Even if he dropped a solo at this point, he'd be playing catch up. It's difficult to put someone who has spent their entire career in a group in a Top 10 vs. artists who have been solo their entire career (dropping classics, trend setting, and innovating) while doing it. Same goes for any MC who dropped their best material as a member of a group.

Because they're GOAT contender albums (especially Infamous). Outkast have never dropped a GOAT contender album. In fact, Hell on Earth is better than any Outkast album

Whether it's a GOAT contender album isn't the point. If you're using a group album to justify a group member being GOAT, what point does a solo album argument serve. It's uneven to even compare Infamous to a solo album from a GOAT solo artist. Point being, the solo material should stand on it's own merit. Straight Outta Compton is arguably the best Hip Hop album ever, but how many people would solely base an argument on Cube being GOAT on that album. Same goes for Scarface. Face's solo material is certified to the point where his work with Geto Boys isn't even brought up to argue him being Top 10.

I get your point, but part of the reason is because it's a duo and not 3 or more. Basically, the more you rhyme on a goat contender album, the more of a goat contender you become. It's that simple.

but atliens >> hell on earth :francis:

nah

What kind of criteria is that? Snoop Dogg (The Chronic and Doggystyle), Dr. Dre (Straight Outta Compton and The Chronic), Eazy E (Straight Outta Compton), and MC Ren (Straight Outta Compton) are GOAT contenders if that's the case.
