It's clear UC was a significant influence in the TR reboot. That's undeniable.

The other way, while similar, not so much.

The action adventure "not overly serious" tone of UC is something I enjoy as well.

This complex with TR fans wanting to be so much better than UC is strange.

Timed exclusives are still exclusives and a year is a huge gap... When it does finally drop on ps4 considering what's coming between now and then it will clearly not have anywhere close to the same impact it would had it dropped today...

Every game iteration out on each platform always has new additions and features the previous game didn't have. Only a casual who don't really get into the games like that would say they're just "prettier." Even a game accused of being the same shyt each year like "COD" or NBA 2k or Fifa has new

features/additions.
