Lupe is arguably the most lyrical MC of all time. Nas is better all around and I would say probably the greatest ever when you put his catalog, flows, themes, rhymescheme and everything else together...
But Lupe is definitely more lyrical.

He has the potential to restore himself as one of the greats.

I mean, its not too many people puttin verses like this together
but aint too much in that catalog that I wanna hear at a party... maybe a couple cuts offa Lasers, but if youre talking about the technical aspects of rapping, his only deficiency is his voice.

His voice definitely ain't the strongest but it's easily distinguishable, he doesn't have a generic tone.

The bolded is what I disagree with. The thing with naS is that a lot of people, dare I say most, simply overlook all his shortcomings, and there are an immense #. He is prolly the GOAT storyteller though. But albums outside of IWW are lackluster. His actual lyrics are borderline basura. When he's trying to kick knowledge he's kicking stupidity. etc
Also Lu been dropping nothin but heat for a decade, so no, he's not washed up.
