It's crazy how think that gospel music no longer has an influence in black music

:mjcry:

That's because virtually ALL of the greatest Black musicians came from the church up until Hip-Hop, so the feel of the church left the music. Then, once sample laws went crazy, rappers couldn't even sample the soulful stuff from the past that was influenced by the church as much, so now the gospel feel has left pop music mostly.

With the exception of White artist like Adele, Whinehouse, Sam Smith, Timberlake, etc. . .who are doing our music

The gospel influence in house music in the early to mid 90s....

I play this jam and I'm Going All The Way regularly. I'm agnostic/atheist but Gospel music has a lot of jams.

Optimistic is such a powerful track, no hyperbole, regularly takes me from a 10 to 11

I’d like to see note hip hop lyrics like this with good beats.

Your thoughts have an impact on your life, and we really don’t need to have bad lyrics stuck in our head, especially such as “wet ass p*ssy”
