Very confusing how so many hip hop heads are crying about shyt like how Nas has no grammies and etc. Not sure how you claim to hate white validation then cry when the white people don't recognize you

I could have sworn it was a time when Source Magazine giving your album five mics was all the recognition we needed...times were great back then... had our own shyt and awarded our own...

It's still people today mad cause they dont respect our craft... crying instead of trying to build our own award ceremonies.. like we used to have..

BET Awards doesnt even count, its not black owned anymore.... but putting that aside...your favorite mother Beyonce never shows up to those but always shows up to the grammys...and no one seems to see the problem with that

The Source lost their status after Lil Kim for 5 mica for that album because she was fukkin Benzino or Dave or whatever. There was politics involved back in the day too tho. That ban they had on giving 5 mics during the 90s was a dumb idea.
