I mean if Phil comes I am 95% sure he is bringing the triangle with him and that alone would be the main reason to get him even if he is not coaching. The allure would be that with all the contracts coming off the books he could seek out guys to fill his system. With Melo potentially playing the role of main scorer in the system. 50/50 shaw might end up coming over to do his system regardless of how he is doing in Denver.
I wonder how Melo would play as a big in his system? I guess he would take the role of the Pau Gasol but the ball would go through Melo more as the main scorer. Also who would they target in FA. The Triangle doesn't require a PG like Rondo (not that he would hurt). However if they could get a guy like Kevin Love to put besides Melo it would be a problem. Add in the fact they could go after another big in next years draft and they could get the necessary bigs to run the triangle in a relatively short time.
