This ain't your father's Lakers...hell, it ain't even your big brother's Lakers, damn nikka it ain't even YOUR Lakers anymore. Ain't nobody looking at 'Antoni and a coke head owner thinking "this is where I need to be"

:comeon: you know he meant currently.

You see the standard folks hold the Lakers to?

They won a ring just 3 years ago(shyt they won back to back) but if they aren't contending for a title every single year then "currently" they're a shytty franchise.

Or should I say "these aint YOUR Lakers"

Seems like everyone is completely missing the point here. First off like its already been said Melo and Kobe are good friends already, so that's one chip in the LakeSet corner. LaLa and Melos kids live in LA. The Knicks are a terribly run franchise and who cares if theyve got cap space in 2015, the players available in 2014 are far superior. Now what I haven't seen mentioned is the fact that Melo and Lebron want to play with each other. That's why the chance of landing both players is a real possibility.

As we can all see Miami isn't getting any better. And although someone mentioned that any team with cap space can make these kind of moves, only one team (in a major market) will have virtually unlimited cap space next year. Sure maybe the Bobcats or Pelicans will have space but who the Fukk wants to play there. Let's not get all crazy just yet and let things play out first.

So you didn't win multiple games with clutch Derrick fisher performances and bad coaching by SVG ??? Should Jameer have been playing and letting fisher cook him ??
And you meant kobe I realized that later but it took him years to get those finals after resigning .... But still saying Dwight isn't a superstar is laughable when Kobe couldn't get to a finals without HOF quality big men while Dwight did it with way less ... Why couldn't superstar kobe elevate smush Parker to great heights !?
Kobe plays in the west bruh ,that means 50 win teams first round OK. In 2009 the only threat to Orlando was Boston. And if your gonna say Bron then don't lemme hear you say he had nothing again if he was such a force.

#LWO doesnt ride against the #Knickstape breh. We almost are allies in the sense that we share the same common enemy (stupid Heat and Hawks fans):yeshrug:

I love how the Laker organization and (some) fans are hoping for this to go down, but I can't help but think of this happening if the Lakers approached Bron...almost verbatim :skip:

I think we can all agree that Melo's teams were always better than Smush, Luke and KwaaaaaMe Brown (SA Voice). When your a superstar player your not supposed to get passes, Kobe had already made 4 final appearances by the time Melo got the opportunity to get knocked out the CONFERENCE finals.

Nope, if Phil was still their and y'all had Dwight, this type of story could have a foundation

:deadware:@Lakers management dreaming

If Dwight left LA, what makes them think Melo or King James would leave their current teams for a shytty franchise :heh:

How are the Lakers a shytty franchise when one of their own is the inspiration for the insignia for the NBA? There is a Laker on the screen, hat, jersey at all times.

Even here on this guy's headband --> :sadbron:

Funny how you like to give credit to everyone else except for Kobe and Pau. So Fisher won the Finals on one shot? Since when did basketball become an individual game? So Artest won game 7 on his own against the Celtics and Allen won game 6 on his own against the Spurs? :gladbron:

Why couldn't Kobe elevate Smush to greater heights? Are you this much of a fukking idiot? Please tell me what Smush did after leaving the Lakers. Kobe did not help hide some of his flaws? Name me another team that Smush would've started as a PG in the league during his time with the Lakers.

You want to talk about Kobe not being able to win without another HOF big... Please name me multiple great players that were part of a dynasty without multiple HOF players on the team.

What did Pau do in Memphis with the Grizzlies when he was the man? How many playoffs games did he win with his own team? How many playoff series did he win? Did you ever hear about Pau being the best PF during his time with the Grizzlies? Kobe made him a better player and gave him the opportunity to gain exposure that he would've never gotten in Memphis.
