gay i hate this
So because stupid/unfair shyt has occurred in the past you should just let the stupid/unfair shyt continue?Plenty of people bytched about the Seahawks btw. The Pats was okay to most because Brady was out. Woulda been a whole lot of woe is me Bradyites bytching about that otherwise.
No need for a 7th team. All you gotta do is stop rewarding shytty divisions with automatic spots/home games and it's perfect but of course the NFL isn't actually interested in doing what makes sense or is fair so.

What exactly makes it stupid/unfair?
Winning a division should mean something, should it not?
Idgaf if you got a better record in a tougher division, same way idgaf that the 9th-place Suns woulda been like the 4th seed in the East last year. Tough shyt.
Like @saysumthinfunnymike said, if the team is so bad and "undeserving" then whup they ass!
It's stupid and unfair because you are putting a random grouping of 4 that you play 6 out of 16 games over what you do week in and week out against NFL competition.
Getting it done over 16 games should mean something, should it not? Winning a division with 7 or 8 wins or with fewer wins than teams that happened to be in a tougher grouping doesn't mean shyt. That actually takes away from the meaning of winning a division when you have shytty ass teams doing it and getting home games on top of that. Because we all know they aint' shyt and don't belong there. If a team is so bad and undeserving they shouldn't have that chance in the first place. In football, anything can happen in any game especially at home. The whole point of the regular season is to separate the squads that warrant the opportunity from the squads that don't. Plenty of shytty teams can win one game at home against a superior team that doesn't mean they deserve to have it.

That's how it's been since.... FOREVER my nikka!
Are you saying divisions shouldn't exist simply because of the possibility that one may be worse than another?
While this year may be particularly egregious, a wild card team has a better record than a division winner pretty much every other year. Maybe that's your point, but that's football.
It sounds to me like you don't believe in "Any Given Sunday" and want to eliminate it as much as possible. I think that's wack, but we can agree to disagree.
I am not comparing the relevance or importance of the two issues but I am making the point that just because it's been a certain way doesn't mean it's right or that it should continue. This is only being discussed because Dallas could suffer.
