I don't understand this, there's more pressing matters to be addressed in the country and here they are tearing down statues of a man whose soul has probably passed seven hells, there's a damn cecil john rhodes trust which assist students with finances, should the trust also be taken away.

As South Africans debate the removal of colonial statues and symbols, some Afrikaans citizens are pushing back.

On Wednesday, a group of Afrikaans protesters gathered in Pretoria to rally against the defacing of a statue of former president Paul Kruger, which was splattered with green paint earlier in the week. South African opposition party Economic Freedom Fighters later said some if its members took part in the defacing.

By the time Mandela was released from prison Apartheid was basically Apartheid in name only. There was a large amount of intermingling. You had black children being allowed to attend "White" schools and the whole public areas were now actually public and not really segregated anymore. So the animosity was really dying down at that point, but it was still there. And in order for SA to have an actual sustainable economy various leaders in the ANC and NP decided peace was the better option for the country to carry on running for the foreseeable future.

Feel free to fact check some of this. I may have gotten a bit of the information wrong.

If you're interested in South African history just look up these names in your spare time, Walter Sisulu, Steve Biko, Chris Hani, Bishop Tutu and Anton Lembede.

South Africa is the c00n capital of Africa, and really the entire globe. I'm happy to see statues of that fakkit Rhodes defaced, but I honestly don't ride for black South Africans after all the murders they've committed and continue to commit on my people and other blacks. Zimbabwe did a lot for these ungrateful shytheads (political asylum) during apartheid .
