:wtf: NYC....undervalued? Underpriced?

I just read this in an article about Derek Jeters Manhattan home selling for $15 million.

What type of industry is going on down in South America to provide all this money? :wow:

It can't be all drug money....

Top brokers were not surprised the trophy apartment was bought by someone with Brazilian roots.

"South Americans are buying left and right," said Colombian-born Douglas Elliman Associate Broker Monica Luque, who was not involved in the transaction but works closely with affluent Latin Americans.

"They feel New York is tremendously underpriced and under-valued. The wealthiest buyers from South America all want their piece of New York real estate. Everyone else is buying in Miami, but the most affluent are coming to New York. They think it's very safe right now."

Jeter’s sale was revealed as the Yanks prepared to take the field for Game 3 of their playoff series against the Baltimore Orioles.
