With a solid director, it could have been a lot better than it was. The movie definitely suffered from lack of budget, unfortunately.

Itβs a classic to me due to it being one of the first hood flicks I watched back then as a kid. OG Bobby Johnson and deuce still hold weight

Watched this again for maybe the 50th time but haven't seen it in years. Still hits the same. Aside from the bad acting by several actors, it's a powerful tale. Hits harder now that I have kids.
