How expensive is post secondary education? Is it very debt laden?

How easy it for young people to buy a home?

How much time do young mothers have off?

:patrice:
In Japan at least secondary education is far cheaper than America. Ditto buying a home as property value isn’t artificially inflated like America. What we are finding even with massive subsidies and enticements people are still refusing to have babies.

It’s a problem across the west and we don’t know why.

Capitalism. Every first world nation is collapsing demographically. Latin America will be next and then Africa....some real children of men shyt .

Pretty sure Africa is experiencing the opposite, so not sure why you had to add them to the mix. It's the most youthful population on earth.

Yes. The Scandinavian countries have made many fold more efforts than south Korea did and expended much more money to have the best vacation, childcare, social safety-net, work-life friendly cultures on Earth and everything has failed . Not a single one of them has fertility rates at the 2.1 replenishment rate despite decades of such policies . They are doing everything your reformist policies speculate will help but it's not working. That is true evidence.

Its simply a selfish choice to not have kids, and this choice alone that keeps birth rates down in developed countries. It's not a priority to procreate. Some of it can be pegged to lack of religion as the other poster mentioned ,but personally I peg it down to choice. If you don't want to do something you will field an infinite amount of ridiculous excuses as to why not.

Flimsy excuses like , "but ..but ... The cost of education" abound in developed nations . But Look at folks in 3rd world countries having babies with no idea what they will eat tmrw or where they will sleep in a year from now. And no, it's not tied to poverty or lack of resources of these people. Cause I garuntee you Indian professionals who immigrate to Japan, us, Scandinavia,eu, etc have no problem having kids. Same could be said Nigerians, Ghanaians, etc who all prioritize the concept of having kids . Same could be said for 1st and 2nd gen hispanics.

Agreed. It's primarily a culturally driven choice. Scandinavia is an interesting case study. They have all the policies that progressives say will support families and provide incentives for procreation, but none of them work. Scandinavian culture, like the culture of most modern states, prioritizes individual fulfilment through consumption/career above "communal fulfilment" through establishing families, procreating etc. The concept of lineage and the sense of responsibility people used to have for keeping the lineage strong is antiquated. If you don't find the idea of being a mother personally fulfilling, then you simply don't have children. Or you have one child in your mid to late 30s when you've established yourself in your career.

It's a cultural problem. Throwing money at it is not going to solve it. It's not like these career oriented people in South Korea, Scandinavia, Japan, Germany etc are desperately in need of funds so not sure why they thought it would with in the first place.

:mjlol:

I like how you try to romanticize people who have kids as selfless champions of the human race.

When in reality, your kids are a product of your weak pull out game and the fact that your baby mama was too broke to pay for birth control.

meh open up immigration and let my african brehs and brehettes eat
the women don't want to play traditional gender roles anymore.

Japan and Korea are very patriarchal societies and the women have been having a silent rebellion for ages.

furthermore those mixed babies wouldn't solve their need for more Koreans. that's not what they want.

i know you prolly joking tho.

These countries such as Russia China South Korea Japan has aggressive policies against immigration so these society's are collapsing on themselves. You have to open the borders and allow other cultures etc.. to intermingle with the dominant society in order to progress birthrate.

South Korea got some bad chick's too and Japan.
