You know what will help our population growth… more work hours

Spend that time working overtime… not getting more time off but working more, just so you can bank those hours for a longer holiday someday…

That holiday is called death

All that convoluted bullshyt.

Just give workers more time off. Tell these corporate b*stards that the health of the country is more important than their goddamn quarterly reports.

If they are hell bent on having women in the labor market then there need to be more subsidies for childcare and other services.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it appears that there's a limit to how many hours you can work in a week. This is just raising the limit. You're not being forced to work 69 hours but you can if you choose to. And you can use those extra hours you worked can be converted into additional time off to spend with your family.
You can bust ya ass all winter and take mad time off in the summer type shyt

Sounds like one of those "you don't HAVE to work more, but it would be a lot better if you did " type deals

Then please, explain what everyone is getting wrong?
Many responses are acting like it’s going from a standard 52 hour work week to a standard 69 hour work week. That’s not the case.

Korea caps hours at 40 standard up to 12 for OT.

This new rule allows 40 standard and up to 29 for OT on a given week, but the average still must be no more than 52 (it’s more complicated than that, but I’m not rewriting the whole article). This gives employees more flexibility so they can work more continuously and in turn take more continuous time off to be with their families.

I'm convinced the leadership in each country are secretly robots...it's amazing how out of touch they are with the human experience. Yeah...more work will lead to healthier family life...not spending more time with them. Spending more time with your boss
Also what's crazy is the countries that have tried 4 day work weeks or just less time at work in general, there is no loss in productivity, according to recent studies

Why not engaging in those stereotypes that get us labeled nerdy and boring?"
