I lived in the roc for 4 years and everybody said pop. Right on Garson and Goodman. My nikka stays off Bissell in the Buff on the East, his mom and whole family say pop. I hung out, nikkas bought POP at the store.
They sell faygo. Faygo redPOP.
My sister had a friend over when I was young that asked where the "pop" was.
I was like I don't think we any of that :jbhmm:. Only time I ever heard it

But I grew up in Syracuse and spend plenty of time in Rochester and Buffalo and I've never
anyone say it :manny:

Every african america (I made the distinction cause if I said black folks could say africans and afro latins) I have known have said dressing.

Whether they were from up north, out west, down south or out east.

:yeshrug: my family from detroit, DC, Connecticut, Alabama and Mississippi say and make dressing.

you have to make a pan of REAL cornbread, not "it's basically cake" ass jiffy :smh:

Sista my in-laws from the rural area in Mississippi. If we had thanksgiving at my house and I served jiffy mix cornbread my father in law would probably pull a gun out on me......:mjlol:

My father's people are from the WORST parts of Atlanta and I have NEVER heard them refer to what WE eat as stuffing. Hell, even in New York all the black people I know call it dressing.

This has been an... uh... eye opening thread.

I work at a fairly large international corporation, and even on the cafeteria menu today, they offered turkey and dressing..... and this is a white cafeteria and most of the employees are majority white..... I think stuffing may be an upper class or regional thing...
