Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
My family moved to Tennessee from North Carolina and Virginia in 1800s. I was born here. I inherited a house from a family member. So this is my State. You transplanting complaining ass nikkas that don't even have a connection to a State, but want to bum rush in need to keep it moving.

I personally know that Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana would welcome transplanters. So get there.
Aren’t you a Chicago nikka?

My ancestors are from Africa

I was born in Tennessee. My parents were working in Chicago so that is where I grew up, but every Summer of my childhood was spent in Tennessee on my grandparents farm. So we were actually transplants to Chicago. Fugg that cold weather and those high ass taxes.

You transplanters just keep it moving cause we full. :camby:

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
Fort Worth used to be my stomping grounds OP
If you need any recommendations on where to go let me know
Definitely plug me into the dope shopping and dining. I haven't been downtown yet, I'm in an area they call "Alliance", are you familiar with that part?

But again I'll say what I've seen so far of Fort Worth is pretty cool...
I have plenty of family in SC. Been going there all my life.

I'm posting from beautiful NC right now.

Anyway. You just listed all the reasons that I say SC is not like NC.
Where are you in NC?

I gave a few reasons I prefer NC. There are more things NC/SC have in common than the reasons I favor NC...

The two biggest major league teams represent both Carolinas (Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes). Multiple universities here represent both Carolinas (East Carolina, Western Carolina, Coastal Carolina universities)...

The most important city here is on the border and reps for both Carolinas...
No Charlotte felt like a present day city. Literally across the boarder South Carolina feels very deep southern and doesn’t really become progressive like Charlotte until you each the Charleston by the water.

Add to the fact many of folks that live in SC don’t even like Charlotte the city itself
Bro plenty of SCers love Charlotte, too. SC feels deep southern because there's no real big cities there. Charlotte is their major city just like it is in NC, except NC has multiple other cities larger than SC's biggest cities. So the feel is less pronounced...

I guarantee if you ever lived in Charlotte your opinion would shift...

Me and my wife have been thinking that’s the move as soon as she finishes her masters. I like it that it’s close enough to Charlotte without actually having to be in Charlotte.
Please tell the ignorant in here (not ignorant in a negative sense, they just don't know better) the interchange between Charlotte and South Carolina...

Gullah Geechee is also in North Carolina all the way past Wilmington, to Morehead City and Beaufort and all of that area. It evengoes inland a little ways. My mother's family history goes all back to what is now coastal North Carolina and they were Gullah people. That is why that corridor goes all the way into North Carolina past Jacksonville. There is even a town called Navassa in North Carolina that addresses the Gullah culture there.
