I was actually kinda surprised he straight up said I liked the offer but it wasn't enough to convince me, I didn't think he was gonna reveal the teams he would have waived his no trade clause for either. I think some guys would have just given a non answer and said something like I'm happy to be a Yankee and want to focus on the future or something.

yeah, he was surprisingly open about that and the direction of the Marlin franchise not being something he was down with. said he felt the current group was a few pieces away, and ownership instead wanted to tear it down and start over, and he wasn't willing to go through another rebuild.
