solid producers have more than one superb beat. I'd say a minimum of 10 to be considered solid.
The reality is that mediocre producers can get lucky and make one amazing beat. For you to become solid, you have to be able to repeat your artistic success. SGP hasn't done that.
That's not the point. The point is to get posters to back up what they say. Have a backbone for once. Stand behind what you say.
You look through all my threads/posts - I back up everything I say. If I say "x is a great producer", I'll tell you exactly why I think so and list the specific tracks that prove my point.
Y'all will avoid specifics by either going mute or posting "check out x album" as a way of dodging. Because deep down, y'all don't really know which track is hot or not. Or why one track might be more artistically appealing than other. You don't think about these things. I do.
Of course it is. because so far, all I've heard are these weak ass claims from SGP stans with zero backup. And every time I mention the fact that SGP has ONE beat on Live.Love.ASAP while other producers have multiples, and that ASAP Yams was clearly inspired by way more shyt than just SGP, SGP stans have no answer to this. 1) How can you say this when you don't listen to him? You haven't heard much of his work? Are you basing that on actual quality or the fact hes not really mainstream and the most high profile artist he made a track for was Rocky
2) Yea that cool and all. But thats all based on opinions and its not the point. The point is you are unfamiliar with his music. But you have some pre convieved that he is mediocre. Which is my argument. It would be cool if you said hes mediocre. I head the 66.6 and chronicles and wasn't impressed. But its clear as day you haven't heard anything outside rocky from your post
3) Yes, we know they were inspired by other things(screw, dipset, etc) But the simple fact is Klan was influenced them the most. And this goes outside music, SGP beats, etc. Their whole look, presentation, change. I'm not sure you understand that

You think after Pretty Flacko came out, I didn't dig into SGP's discog to find more gems? Since then, I can say I've heard at least 40 songs from dude, and they were all underwhelming as fukk.

A few will post random tracks without thinking about it. e.g. I ask for the best 3 across dude's discog, and the poster will give me 7 obscure tracks at random with no explanation. An explanation for each artist I mentioned. Tell me how SGP > each in terms of influence on Rocky, and then how SGP's influence > all 7's influence put together. I look forward to your explanation. Unless of course you decide to go mute or deflect

SGP need to cut it out tryna turn Houston and the south against New York...cuz the only reason we know him is because of Asap...and he may have had a big role in the sound of Rocky's first tape but they fell out and the sound changed and hip hop has changed since then so why keep crying just get out there and work with some new artist
He didn't even have that big of an influence besides the all black hood gothic aesthetic, that Cloud rap & retro Houston shyt was already a wave.
