Going in the cabinet and seeing a can of spam was different. Put it on some bread with mustard and you had a meal. I would never eat that swine nowadays but back then

I thank god I never had that. My father made sure we lived comfortably but understood that we were blessed compared to many other black children who suffered the trauma of poverty.

Nah, I refused to eat even a bite of that shyt. Told my Dad "Nah, I'll just go hungry today". When it comes to what I won't eat, I was . Got sent home from preschool because I refused to eat the wack Mac and Cheese they were serving. My mom had to come pick me up. Wasn't even punished, because they knew I didn't play when it comes to food.

First time I had spam was in Hawaii at McDonalds. Apparently Hawaiians and Japanese love that shyt.

Same with Ramen noodles. There is always a line at the Japanese Noodle restaurant at this place in Chinatown DC.

Also, there are a lot of Asian students in my building, they buy the hell out of imported Ramen.

went on a trip with a chick from guam ...to guam and her parents had it by the boatload

I never cared for Spam. Tried it in the 80's. That damn smell just.....Yuck! And that included Vieanna Sausage too and my nice loves it.
