As someone who is currently learning spanish I can say that the language spoken in and outside Latin America has very different speeds and wildly different accents.....so I can see why even native speakers can sometimes be

Same, I fell off since I got back in school I need to get back on Duolingo. But yeah, the Spanish I heard in DR vs Cubans in Miami was different to me which were both different from the Central American Spanish I’m used to in the DMV.

Spanish commentary should be its own sub-language.
