Lol@some medieval fantasy...your obviously biased...your hilarious attempt at trying to make Spartacus complex with that description and only saying "medieval fantasy" for thrones with no detail....Smh.

By the way..I've already said I watched 5 episodes...the first 5...nothing is making me want to keep watching..the acting is a joke...the green screen looks incredibly cheesy....the battles look pretty good I like the gore

I just cannot dig how cheesy this shyt is...I'm pretty much forcing myself. I was hooked on thrones after the first few episodes...I went through the entire 2 seasons in a week and change.

I might watch episode 6...when the real goat arrives fukk this shyt lol

Lol fukk that Zorro fencing shyt.

And what's so awful about that scene?

Looks authentic and cooler to me for guys using longswords the men that get bodied here there's hardly any CGI. Where Jory gets stabbed in the eye looks real whereas Spartacus would have slo-mo'd it to death and showered ridiculous amounts of blood.

You can't change my mind breh, I like how Spartacus' handles it's large battles but 1v1 I give it to GoT.

1v1 battles are not better in Game of Thrones :aicmon:

Game of Thrones is moreso about political chess matches and dialogue rather than battle / fight scenes.

Hence the name but what's funny is that I think Spartacus did it better in the first season/prequel with Batiatus/Lucretia and Glaber/Ilythia.

I also prefer the dialogue in Spartacus. Certain scenes stand out just because of the language they use. Something about its structure just makes scenes more memorable. Like Caesar's "I prefer fancy sword and expected position :demonic:." Maybe that's just me tho.

Having said that, both shows are :blessed:

you can tell that these folks aint really see spartacus like that

the only time the CGI was just utterly bad was the first episode and ill come out and say that for sure. but after that this show has been arguably the best shyt ive seen on tv since the wire :whew: and with a strong finale...maybe better :whoa: new spartacus isnt quite the same kind of actor as Andy but hes shined this season

i will say this tho, GoT doesnt have a character on their show that put the work in that Batiatus or Ashur(the goat :ohlawd: ) has

god damn they were goat, and frankly Tiberius is making a run for goat gay scumbag

I'll say this. Batiatus, DOCTORE, and ASHUR are some of the best characters in TV history. Batiatus is up there as one of the GOAT villains. But, SPARTACUS ain't touching GAME OF THRONES. It's a couple notches below it.

No.

Jaime v Ned, Jorah v Qotho, Khal Drogo v Ogo >>>>>>>>>>> Spartacus 1v1s

I prefer my GoT 1v1s. Practical, more realistic and none of that dramatic slo-mo, easy slicing, pomegranate juice blood flying/spraying, and epileptic camera shaking shyt.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I know I was one of the first to talk about the budget of GOT. I think I should be more specific.

What I think of a lot of us are saying is. Ok let's say the everything is on an equal level. Acting wise, looks, battles. The issue is GOT still COSTS more to produce. So while you may feel the acting is the same. Getting actors who have been in 20-30 movies and plays and are considered great actors, is gonna cost you more than no names. Going out to the mountains to film beyond the wall is going to cost way more than green screening the mountains. Cgi wolves and dragons cost more than cgi blood and guts.

So while GOT might spend 10 mil on sets and 10 mil on battles. Spartacus will spend 19 mil on battles and green screen everything for 1 mil. I know it's not the exact math, but that's what I'm referencing when I say GOT has a bigger budget but its not used the same way

As for realism. 80 percent or so gladiators were never killed in combat. So we can't even take the games seriously cause all that shyt wasn't even happening. They had knock down rules and all that stuff. So we can't just attach history and say it makes it real. You wanna be really serious. MOST SWORDFIGHTERS AVOIDED SWORD TO SWORD COMBAT. in other words ALL tv shows and movies get it wrong. They didn't clash swords and shyt. They avoid that and it was mostly quick swipes and you're dead. Not 50 moves of spinning and dancing where you clanked together the whole time
