They made Terry Fitzgerald white in the movie. Why the hell not. Its not like Spawn even has skin so WTF do they care.
he better keep it al simmons...
i know they tried to switch things up and give the mantle to some white guy a few years back.. but fukk all that they need to run with the OG on this.
spawn really should've been a lot bigger than he is now. the character design is sick, the OG's origin was pretty good, and i feel most people know who the character is.
i do think a lot of the actual stories may have been a little too convoluted and extreme with the religious themes for people's tastes (or for a consistent main stream push). that and not being Marvel or DC so not having many equally popular characters to work with or piggy back off of in guest appearances and mainstream projects like the JLU tv show or the marvel vs capcom games, ultimate alliance, graphic novels, etc.

Race is something they really don't need to tackle in a Spawn movie fam come on now. I'm a black man for fukks sake you think i don't want it I just think its something easily changed.
The OG run of "Spawn" was fukking incredible. Who remembers the pedophile serial killer that Spawn killed? Then the next ep was about him in hell. shyt was bananas.

What guy? The info here ain't accurate and I corrected it. I haven't read comics since the early 90s but if you've read any version of "Spawn" except the OG run, you need to fix that immediately. shyt was phenomenal.

I liked the art when i was younger and Image first came out I just never rocked with Spawn. I was more of a Savage Dragon fan when Image first popped off. I did read those books when I was younger but its been some time.

I'm 32 now. I think thats what it was I wasn't really into the dark gritty shyt of the early 90's . I liked that light hearted shyt and bright colors. I fukked with Wilcats and Gen 13 . The darker image shyt like the Maxx, Wet Works and Pitt didn't really appeal to me back then. I fukked with mainly Marvel and even the Ultraverse LOL.

Given the lack of black superheroes, they need to go ahead and keep it al simmons and roll with his origin story. of course, you don't got to keep him black just like you don't got to keep most of these white superheroes white but hey.
They need to make him black because he's black.
The "white man" shyt was just the devil messing with him because he tried to turn back into Al Simmons and go see his wife. When he tried to do that:
He tried to go see her anyway and she thought he was a crazy white man.
A movie is only around 2 hours so this isn't really something they need to add.

Oh, and the OG comic Spawn had a timer. That's the 9:9:9:5
Each time he used his powers the timer would go down. If they all hit 0 he'd go back to hell forever. Obviously he found a way around this because it would've been a short series otherwise.
