I remember that thread by some insider in the industry who was scared for his life that revealed how theres people whos demos get picked by the labels and how they basically get lowballed into some bullshyt having to write for some figurehead to perform the songs they get no credit for. They pretty much explained that the same shyt happens with producers too. They were really upset too at how it was common place.

This was back in 2006, 2007 or 2008. How many years later this drake shyt gets exposed. Almost exactly like what the poster said.
