Game defo got rocked, maybe not “knocked out” in the literal sense, but yeah when this dropped. Remember seeing so many people claim it was impossible lol

Rosemo telling the story seemed genuine and indirectly gave game props for rejecting the pass they were willing to give him.
And that’s the kind of stupidity Game would indulge in, and risk putting his kids life in danger lol

Normally dudes get on camera and be like “Yeah homie was a bytch copping pleas”

Eminem has some good songs and lyrics but overall his projects are mid.

Seems like that's a fair criticism for all of his albums except MMLP.

Marshall Mathers was a straight, clear vision from beginning to end. I mean come on, the first eight tracks are:

Kill You
Stan
Who Knew
The Way I Am
The Real Slim Shady
Remember Me
I'm Back
Marshall Mathers

The next stretch of the album isn't as strong, but still has bytch Please II, Kim, and Criminal to close shyt up.

It's not just that there's some good songs there, it's that the message is so consistent and well-developed from song to song. People were playing that shyt and it was like Eminem was landing body blows with every track. The anger, the dysfunction, the lyricism, the shock value, the commentary on how rappers and rap fans and rap critics relate to each other, all of that was memorable as shyt.

I get people not liking Eminem because his songs are about a certain life that not everyone is going to relate to and a lot of his albums are mid or worse with the production/musicality. But he created something lasting with this project.

Production wasn't good enough despite cohesion.

To say MMLP is not a classic is like The Game saying 2001 was released in 2001.

1 classic begets another.

Speaking with Vanity Fair in an interview published on June 28, the Damn. rapper was asked how he's able to deliver so many words and syllables in one bar. "It comes from my love of hip-hop," Kendrick said. "Eminem is probably one of the best wordsmiths ever," he adds, revealing that Shady's The Marshall Mathers LP was extremely influential for him. "There's a whole list of why, but just bending words... The Marshall Mathers LP changed my life."

Em is overrated but a talented rapper. I’m not gonna listen to corny dad jokes from a 50 year old rapper. And record sales don’t mean shyt, Vanilla Ice went 7x platinum and his music is fukkin garbage.
