A potential three year gap between releases is ridiculous :aicmon:

Considering also how it ended. There was so much hype for the film and that opportunity was wasted. Regardless of how Endgame turned out, it was a 1-year wait, and it maximized on the hype which Infinity War ended on. Sony taking a massive L here.

Don’t understand why they didn’t finish both movies first before they released Across the Spider-Verse

IM ASSUMING YALL DIDN'T
SEE INTO THE SPIDER VERSE AT THE THEATER....

THERE WAS A 4 AND HALF YR GAP
BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND MOVIE
SO 3 YRS IS A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT.

It seemed like all the information after the 2nd released was that they essentially had the 3rd written where it was being shot/recorded back to back where it wasn't going to be the same length of time as the 1st and 2nd.
Doesn't appear that was the case after all

The difference is though that when stuff is teased in parts( Deathly Hallows, BTTF, Wicked, Avengers) it’s usually because the story is one being broken into two so it’s all being worked on. Nolan taking time to shoot a movie after TDK is fine cause the trilogy is just three solid stories of an interconnected story. Rises doesn’t have to come after TDK.

Exclusive Footage Description: The first look opens with the camera moving through a multi-colored prism of sorts, with scenes from the prior two films intercut. The footage then shifts to a quick succession of teases for what audiences can expect. Miles (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) are riding on a motorbike. The Spot (Jason Schwartzman) is sucking the color out of various environments. Speaking of The Spot, he seems to have the ability to transform into an arachnid-style form that sees him crawling menacingly towards our protagonists.
A big component of the footage is between Miles and the alternate-universe version of himself that has become The Prowler. Strangely, though, a shot towards the end of the teaser shows the two Miles’ working together with who appears to be Aaron Davis (Mahershala Ali). The multi-colored prism is then revealed as the film’s logo. There’s not much to this footage, but it gives us a good idea of what Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be preoccupied with.

I hope that '90s Spider-Man (Christopher Daniel Barnes) shows up in this movie...and NOT just in a short cameo role.

The "Spider-Verse" concept pretty much originates from Spider-Man: The Animated Series, so it's only fitting.
