whats the issue with this cell? what I get from it is that he doesn't want to be identified by his race, and more importantly he doesn't want others interpreting his race for their advantage or purposes. that's why he mentions he's half hispanic, noting that he's more than just one thing. if there's one thing he is, it's Spider-Man

Most people think of Hispanics as being mostly Native Indian, not black. In the book, his mom is clearly not an afro-hispanic either.
