Unpopular opinion but I was all in with Pete being a clone all these years and the shift towards Riley. He definitely didn't need to be torn down in the process but nothing wrong with a creative shakeup.

I'm just waiting to get a 5 abd I'll get it then. Been kinda out of gaming since my son was born until he was old enough to want a switch. Playing Breath of the Wild with him rekindled my gaming flame. Me and him both been on top of the 5 so I'm getting it for both of us.

that was the point, they were trying to break down peter and sell ben. everyone hated peter during this time. shyt became so obvious that they kinda ruined the swerve cause everyone saw it coming
I still think this storyline was a good idea with good moments that was executed horribly due to editorial decisions to stretch it waaaay too long. if you wanna make spider-man a single guy again this is a better way to do it than having the devil erase your relationship or whatever the fukk that story was
this blog is a really good retrospective of the entire story with commentary from people who actually wrote it. also funny to note that even though everyone claims to hate this story it was doing big numbers during its run
