What made the scene amazing was Spikes ability to show the palbability in Malc's face. Obviously he couldn't draw anything from Malcs biography because Malc was killed soon after this. But that's what makes it amazing. Spike basically playing a guessing game on how Malc probably felt that day. The outer body experience the daydreaming.
