I’d love to see him live. It’s always a plus when an artist sounds just as good or better love as the record.
I saw him in raleigh awhile back when he was pushing that "Wines and Spirits" album. Eric one of those ppl who sound like their albums as well as Jill, teedra moses, avery sunshine, pj morton, lalah ect

You’re so lucky to have seen all of those talents live. I would like to go to more R&B/Neo-Soul concerts. I saw D’Angelo in 2015 and it was life changing.

His management early on fukked up his trajectory. Steve Stoute was saying he shoulda been much bigger than he is but it never came to fruition

Very very very underrated. I always say Jagged Edge early style was in the vein of Eric. This is my jam right here

I’ve never thought of that comparison. I love Jagged Edge (one of my favorite groups tbh). So I’ll keep that in mind on future listens.

I still need to listen to the Earth Wind and Fire EPs. I haven’t had the chance to check them out.

Great song on a great album

They was makin' money till she broke her back":mjcry:

I was wondering what you guys thought of Airtights Revenge.. album was very different from what was out at the time. I’ve been trying to get into it for the longest.

This sounds just like 97-98 era JE Mind u this is '94 3/4 years before JE hit the scene.

yeah those were the good ole days..back when the labels and radio REALLY cared about the genre. Back when the artists use to put effort into his/her craft.. unfortunately quality has dropped heavily since then in regards to R&B.. no hate towards others but i aint trying to be forced fed Ella mai, khalid ect as the new faces of the genre
