That's what I'm saying, then aren't you cheating yourself out of what could be the most incredible relationship of your life?

That's an interesting way to look at it :ehh:

But it still has that same problem of @Smoke won't it be that you are in a relationship but in reality you are alone?
:mjlol: :usure:

I remember an old man told me a long time ago that no matter the tone of the conversation, the MAN has to be stronger than the WOMAN.

He went on to explain that women are emotional creatures.
And if you're not careful, you'll find yourself wondering why the relationship didn't work out.

That being said, it reminded me of what I heard from a comedian.

He said that you not only have to protect your relationship from your woman, you must protect your woman from your woman.

In other words, NEVER behave like that fat fakkit McDonalds dude who wanted his money.

Though society teaches me to be offended by such a comment, I actually agree. Being calm in the face of chaotic display of emotion is a very powerful tool and it is something that both genders can learn from.

Though if a man was in the habit of having chaotic emotional outbursts I think most females would be less accepting than if it were the other way around. I.e. You being a sexist actually gives women more wiggle room to indulge in stupidly. We can get away with more, roundabout win :steviej:

Yep, I've developed the ability to keep people just close enough that they don't feel like I have my guard up, but just far enough away that if they fukked me over somehow it wouldn't bother me too much.

It's kinda a double edge sword tho because although no one can really hurt me, I don't feel like I could really put my all into a person even if I felt they deserved it.

This.

my guard is usually down.
but i try to keep the antenna up

That's how I feel, because whether you keep your guard up or down, foul people will go for the low blow anyway. So, I'm quick to love, but slow to forgive.
