It's basically true. 90s hip-hop is great, but hella overrated. Music is about enjoyment. If your song has a great message, it's cool, but it means nothing if it isn't enjoyment. I'd take Views over a lot of these albums y'all love.

Views is actually fun to listen to. 90s hip-hop ain't catchy.

I know we're supposed to be in love with the "classic" hip-hop albums, but you can't force music upon a generation. It just isn't fun to listen to. Listening to Pac gets boring as hell.

you're doing exactly what you're saying you cant do. you're trying to force new to a generation that it most likely wont catch on with. just like what you like and call it a day. thats what i do :manny:

I pulled Outkast from rap comparisons/ discussions a while ago. People grasp the concept of their greatness kinda randomly; you just gotta wait for it. I been dating my chick for 2 years and I've been listening to Outkast for the last 20 years. She always used to give me the screw face if a song of theirs came on (she's much younger)but one day she stumbled upon a Tidal Outkast playlist I made and she's been hooked ever since. So for me it's always been Outkast; and then everything else.
