He has dope hooks and just songs that are aesthetically pleasing. There aren't many Jay/Pac songs that are effective like "Controlla" or "One Dance." You can really vibe with those records.

It's basically true. 90s hip-hop is great, but hella overrated. Music is about enjoyment. If your song has a great message, it's cool, but it means nothing if it isn't enjoyment. I'd take Views over a lot of these albums y'all love.
