Soul Survivor for me

-Really solid LP, but just a few tracks off being a classic IMO
"The Game" off that album is just one of those perfect tracks......
The way it starts off with those samples & the beat slowly working in.....Raekwon coming in with that braggadocio slick talk still builds anticipation anytime I play it. Everyone put in a solid verse. It's also got one of the hardest hitting baselines I've ever heard.

What about the "original baby pa" by Deda? the beats on that album are incredible probably the best produced album you have never heard. Okay so Deda is an average MC by most standards; however, Pete came through with those beats. If that album and Centre of Attention gained a proper release when they should then Pete Rock's career would look even greater than it does today.

Kanye? Primo (a lot of people say he fell off, but I think they just got bored of his sound, because he still makes the same dope beats), Pharrell, etc. Pete fell off something fierce.

How many producers have made classic albums all on their own? RZA definitely. Premo comes close with Moment of Truth but I can't really say MOT is top tier classic shyt. Dre with Doggystyle but then again, is that all Dre's work? And Q-Tip with first 3 Tribe albums?
