Manziel in college was one the most hated players ive ever seen. I thought Jameis was gonna top him (and he got very close) but Jameis balling out in the pros has gonna eased criticism against him.

Ty Cobb is a good one

Hell hockey is full of them. Matt Cooke, Todd Bertuzzi, Claude Lemieux, Dale Hunter..

Ty should be one...but he wasn't really known to be a "villain" by the public until after he played.

Hockey doesn't count.

:childplease:Why do people hate LeBron that much? Especially over Ray Rice and Michael Vick

Because everything seems to be working out for him. He is the anti-status quo, and they don't know what to do about it.

- your not supposed to succeed after not going to college.

- when you shoot hoops in the driveway as a kid, you're supposed to dream your playing for your hometown team.
He played for his hometown team and left, winning a title elsewhere. You're not supposed to do that.

- he's a bigger than life talent who dares get his teammates involved.

- he has an opinion about things outside of basketball and will voice it.
