A lot of dudes be hyping up their child support. The only guys who generally pay a lot are men who make a lot of money or who came out of a long term marriage and established a certain living standard for their kids while married. Otherwise generally dudes aren’t paying a lot unless they have a lot of back child support that accrued interest.
No they don’t hype the payments up. Child support is a friggin disgrace if you’re a working class man that gets the run of the mill every other weekend custody arrangement. They’re gonna take at least 20% of your pay off top and they may throw in healthcare/dental and a life insurance policy that you must maintain with the child being the sole beneficiary.
Then they say, “ Bro, just get split custody
.” If you make more money, guess who still has to pay child support? Yep, you. I personally pay $820/month with 50/50 custody for one child. I’m no Coli breh but I make good money and if my bills weren’t so cheap, that would really suck to have to pay.
Btw… It also impacts the amount of home loan you will be approved for. Child support is a fixed expense, an 18 year auto loan. The stigma associated with being on child support is also embarrassing, you’re automatically suspected of being a deadbeat.
All it takes is one fuk up and thats it, doesnt even have to be your fault.
