I prefer old school R&B music myself. But there was good stuff after 95. Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite is one of the greatest R&B albums of all time. Came out in 96 although some stuff was recorded probably in 94 to 95.
For a better post 95 example I think Tank, Ginuwine, Usher and Tyrese had a couple songs that could be up there.
