The Earlier Thread Posed This Question And Damn, I Think This Is A Real Good Question :ohhh:

This Thread Will Probably Spark Some BS But Im Sure Some Good Conversation Can Come From It

Both Top Tier NBA Legends

You Can Go On For Days With Positives About These Guys

I Feel Like Leaning Toward Timmy For A Few Reasons, College Experience, Height, Doesnt Always Need The Ball In His Hands

But A Prime Kobe Is Scary :lupe:

Who Would You Choose?

300 murders a year
you always take the big, unless its jordan in the discussion

its just easier to build around a big, they command them doubles they kick it out, make the game easy

with guards its so many variables on who in they front court, being able to handle the ball and get others involved etc.

always pick the big, going with timmy

The question is, what would Tim Duncan be w/o Mr. Longoria and Manu.

I think I'll take Kobe.

Not saying that Tim Duncan isn't/wasn't a great player :whoa:

Timmy won a chip without Tony or Manu so try that shyt again

Also Timmy started from day-1. He was franchise changing immediately. Kobe was franchise polarizing :skip:..It's not a situation like Lebron where a guy out of high school comes and dominates. Kobe needed those years on the bench to develop IMO. Not a knack against him. Top 10 player easy.

I Was Thinking About Putting This In The Initial Post But I Didnt Wanna Sidetrack The Thread With "What If's" Cuz The Outcome Is "Lets Just Say They Both Go On To Be The Same Guys They Are Today"

Cuz If We Do Pose That Kind Of Scenario I'd Be More Concerned With A Rookie Kobe Outta HS Not Being Around A Historic Franchise, All Of Us Old Enough Remember Young Kobe Thinking "He CAN Be Great But WILL He Be Great?" Timmy Was Ready Straight Out The Gate, Spurs Or No Spurs

Then Again There's A Big Difference In Age And Experience As Rookies, Kobe Caught Right Up

But Like I Said Taking That Out Of It Lets Just Say They Both Go On To Be The Same Guys They Are Today

We may never know, but we know what Kobe was without Shaq and a prime Gasol.

Tim based on the fact he can be a teammate and is clearly idolised by the rest of the spurs players. If you're a coach and have someone like duncan following your lead..the rest of the team will follow like lemmings

He won a title without them, and won another when they werent shyt.

The fukk are you talking about?

And to answer... Duncan, no question.

Can anchor a defense, easier to build a team around, and demands double teams on the block while giving you 23+. It just makes so much more sense to go with a big, especially when he brings literally no drama. If Kobe didnt get to play with Shaq, this isnt even a thread.
