They can't.

For the simple fact that no actor alive is quite like Kurt Russell.

Nobody can play that likable action hero that's a bad ass/smart ass.
Not the way Kurt did.

Speaking Kurt Russell I would love to see a remake of Escape from New York
That would be interesting.

I could see them remaking movies that had good ideas but maybe lacked the logistics to do well because of technological limits. Like with all the advances in CGI and all that, you could remake some old 80s movies into good shyt.

The thing is, if they do remake them, I hope they focus more on the story and don't just go into a CGI festival like they do with a lot of comic book movies and shyt like Transformers.
They have to focus on the stories.

But thats the thing about a remake man..you aren't trying to do what someone did before you. You honor the material but do your own thing. It's similar to if you married a woman who was previously married: You honor the fact that she's done it before and has her kids and way of doing things, but you gotta do your own thing and do what works for now. I love the movie but it definitely has its flaws and the right screenwriter can make a much better movie out of it than the one we got, especially when you read about all the issues they had behind the scenes with directors, writers, and actors being pains in the ass. If someone paid me to do it (and they damn well better) I know exactly what I'd do with it and it wouldn't require someone to mimic Kurt or Stallone

LOL I feel you breh. I love Kurt but I'm not nor should any actor be beholden to the man. Tango and Cash is more about finding two actors with that same chemistry and that would be the toughest part. Stallone and Russell just click

Lord of the flies :ld:
THIS.

would never happen in todays PC era though

there's more of a chance of it being a tv show than a movie IMO.

I vote for "in time"..that timberlake movie with some better actors
