Sorry For The Wait 2.

Had some good songs but I couldn't take the crappy ass punchlines anymore. :mjcry:

Carter 3..

Carter 1 and 2 was great hip hop then :scusthov:

I was in 8th grade. That album was the beginning of the end for the genre in general. That was when it was ok if your album sucked as long as it had a bunch of "hit" songs on it.

C4 was the major let down.

I knew shyt wasn't the same on IANAHB2.

FWA was surprisingly a step in the right direction. S4TW2 was even more solid.

Then No Ceilings 2 showed me he truly doesn't give a fukk anymore.

24 songs and only 10 were good to great.

1. I hate freestyles over other beats. Mixtapes are now basically albums.

2. Wayne is nice lyrically but he cannot stay on topic or create concepts anymore. He is 33 and it's time to mature. All his die hards grew up and we need music we can relate.

3. He recycles too many bars and isn't introspective enough.

4. Random shoot you, kill you, fukk bytches bars is played out IMO.

5. He needs to get back to making GOAT hooks. His hooks used to be so fire and memorable :ohlawd:

He's still my GOAT. His run from that carter 1 to carter 4 was :wow:

Even though c4 didn't have that many great songs he was still that nikka commercially at the time. He cooled off in 2013 though and it's been downhill since :mjlol:

But I have high hopes for C5.

It's funny how lyrics don't matter to the listeners when it comes to these new rappers (thig, uzi, Yachty etc) but whenever weezy is brought up people put a microscope to his lyrics. He can have one wack bar out of 30 bars and people act like he's the woat. He can't win anymore. He is still better than 90 percent of the game when he's focused :laff:

Around the drought 3. His hype and lure was so high he was saying some of the worst lines ever in rap and people was eating all of those terrible punchlines up.

Im nothing close to die hard of this man, but as Ive tried to get interested in him in the era he's fallen off at, the most hyped Ive been for one of his releases was NC2 and God that was disgusting
