I'm amazed people are considering Wale's album as AOTY contender.
Dude's voice is mad annoying to me and I find everything about him to be corny. He's the diet pepsi of the rap game, dude's lighter than Wiz. His beat selection is rainbow popsicle status. You can tell he's feeling himself waaaaay too much too, dude be chuckling at his own punchlines and shyt. he's probably the kind to crack dumbass jokes and say "pun intended" in real life.
I get it if girls dig his shyt, but as a man, the only song I listened to on that album was "Ambition" and I skip his features.
What y'all think? Do most people really consider Whale to be a legitimately great rapper?

Nah Wale is cool to me. Lyrically he's the best on MMG right now and Ambition was a great album. Never understood why internet fans dont like him.
Yeah I could never get into his shyt either. He can spit, but I just don't fukk wit em.

This is how I feel about Meek. Dudes seem to be shytting on him all the time here, saying how he's just another generic rapper but I like kid's energy. Yeah he's not the most lyrical, but he's not supposed to be. He's just entertaining and has way above-average bars for the kind of rapper that he is.

Yea his mixtapes are way better than his albums. I used to be a big Wale fan, dont get me wrong I still fukk with his music but everything he's done since More about Nothing is very ehhh to me. You should check out Mixtape about Nothing, More about nothing, and Back to the feature. Since then he's done something a lil diff to his flow and cadence that just isnt really doing it for me idk.
