Clearly a troll/bait thread

Exactly but then you have these clowns who never cared about hip hop culture or Hip Hop history to begin with actually coming in here and co signing OP by downplaying the facts. I mentioned 'It Takes Two" because it's a monumental classic song that all generations know. Mentioning 'In The Club' by 50 was too easy so I went with "It Takes Two" and the clowns downplayed it, ignoring the historical significance in an attempt to be humorous as if what the troll OP said actually had merit. Co signing troll bait like this is why Reddit is the current king of message boards because if historical significance like NYC actually having decades of club bangers can be downplayed to entertain a troll, then The Booth section of Coli isn't the exclusive place for the preservation of the culture like it once had aspired to be. It just becomes reduced to being like any other platform where misinformation on Hip Hop history can strive.

That Ron Browz era when Jim Jones was still popular was spooky…

Arab Money was probably the last hit from a NY nikka that I liked.

I didn’t like Shot Caller by French Montana when it came out

I assume posters who make threads like this are just looking for engagement

I have a club rap playlist I made years ago and it is filled with NY rappers who made great club music

Just admit you set yourself up horribly by naming a song from 40 years ago nikka, it's okay :mjlol:

What difference does it matter if its from 1988? It's one of the most recognized club songs in Hip Hop history. That's the point. That one song is the epitome of club music and destroys the trolling OPs claim. I thought this was a Hip Hop message board.

Who are the best NY club song makers who club songs mostly came from NY producers?

:patrice:

BIG, LL and Busta?

NY did have a lot of good club songs from about 96-04, but a lot of the beats came from Timbaland or Neptunes, so do they really count?

The type of club.

People reference as the club.

Is misappropriated from the hiphop party. Turned us finally producing enough profit. For club owners to now allow us to book their club venue. Plus insurance companies lowering fees to allow a venue to be insured.

Then have the audience misappropriated.

It is just so much time passed.
From this misappropriation. That no one knows.
or recognizes that it used to be different types of parties. Plus clubs of different distinct types.
Yet the club.
or connotation as the club or club music now. All comes from misappropriation of hiphop culture based party. That occurred in the segregation of toy disco based dj Hollywood and hiphop culture based herc.
