Me None of my immediate family can swim, so I never learned, and I didn’t go to any beaches, lakes, or water parks growing up

It depends on how loosely you use the term "swim".

In an emergency I can doggy paddle my way to the edge of the pool and avoid drowning, but that's about the extent of it.

I can swim better underwater than above. Unless it's a small child, I doubt I could save someone in the water. In the Atlantic ocean tho, You can literally lay on your back and float easily.
