I like both but that scene with will and Ben vereen plays his dad. I think that's the episode we all took a look a will smith differently. As someone who was serious with acting. That and the gun scene with Carlton.

shyt I still remember funny stuff from Martin like when he went on a vacation or a honey moon with Gina and they ended up in some raggedy ass resort, and he had to fight a dam giant rat or that Kong Fu fight at the ATM or when he got his ass whoop by Tommy Hitman Hearns , show had so much piff

Based on who's life I wanted to live as a kid, I'd say Fresh Prince. Will was funny, charismatic, had a cool family, always dated fine ass women, lived in a mansion. Plus Hilary was just

I legit had a huge crush on her all throughout my youth.

Martin was an aspiring/struggling radio/TV personality, but he had a down ass girlfriend (not the prettiest, but she was loyal, funny and charming) and a very tight knit group of friends. Plus Pam had a banging body

They were both hilarious, but based on who I admired most as a child, I'd have to say Fresh Prince was the better show IMO.

Martin was far more creative with the characters tho.

LMAO @ that hitman Hearns episode and how Martin beat up that other DJ who thought it was all fun and games

My favorite was the playa's ball episode where they bring on all those 70's actors.

Martin has the highest comedy peaks....the court episode, the that ain't no damn puppy episode as well as the cd player will leave you in stitches.....

But Fresh Prince is much more rounded, and stayed consistently entertaining the entire ride...it made the finale that much more powerful cause our favorite rich family's story was over. Could have easily gotten another solid season or 2 outta them

Martin finale was a tired horse being put down cause it had been past its prime

These days i prefer to watch Fresh Prince over Martin. Fresh Prince is a funny, chill type of show. Martin is funny too but truthfully alot of that shyt was annoying! Even when i was a kid all that fukking jumping around and hollering Mama Payne used to do got on my nerves! I gotta be in the mood to watch Martin, i done seen em all and the last season is just unwatchable! To me Fresh Prince stayed consistent all the way through, even with the different Aunt Viv. It's just a more enjoyable show to me!
