Which system ran the 16 bit era?
I had the genesis but to this day i still feel like i missed out on nintendo.
SNES Pros
- dropped innovative games such as super mario world, F zero, fire fox, mario kart, and had the better fighting games translations with street fighter, and killer instinct

Sega pro
- did have great games with sonic, streets of rage,
- had better sports games, and put fatalities in mortal kombat.

Mario Kart and Mario World >>>>>>>>>>

SNES wins just off those alone. F-Zero and SF2 were ground breaking too

Square Soft and Konami games alone made it better than Genesis.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 3 >> ALL

SNES is the GOAT system.

SNES for me. It was the system that made me a RPG fan. renting Earthbound (very underrated) by mistake was the best thing that ever happened. From there I went on to the Final Fantasy series, Breath of Fire series, Secret of Mana/Evermore, Super Mario RPG, and the GOAT, Chrono Trigger.

i loved my genesis, but snes was the best, imo. there are way too many all-time great classic hits on snes. some classics not already mentioned: super tecmo bowl, punch-out, donkey kong country, killer instinct and on and on and on we could go - even yoshi's island is a very good game, lol.

i owned 2 genesis' back in the day and i've owned a couple snes'. i still have a snes and have some classic games i will still break out occasionally and hook up to the old tube. i have just as much fun playing them now as i did then.

a bit off-topic, but my favorite sega console was the dreamcast.
