I love "Slam!" Other than that I never listened to a full album fron these nikkas.

To my generation Fredo Starr is more known as Q from Moesha rather than a rapper :heh: I'm an early 90 baby BTW.
How the fukk have you never listened to Bacdafucup? Don’t use age as an excuse. That’s like saying you know Snoop/Cube etc from their films rather than their music :camby:

All We Got Iz Us almost a classic to me, it's a great winter album. Bacdafacup sounds a lil rough nowadays, but there are still some classic songs. I fukk with a couple joints from their third album and that's about it.

Because I was two years old when it was released :what: Slam is the only hit they have that I'm aware of.

Onyx was before my time, not sure why you're so angry about this :heh:

They were some of both, no shame in admitting that. I loved their music, even still have BACDAFUCUP, but even as a kid I knew it was a gimmick. :manny:

If they woulda stayed on the bacdafucup vibe, maybe.

But they chqnged it up with all we got iz us and imo thats their best album by far.

Shut em down 98 was also fire as fukk.

Everything after black trash was a chore as sticky started doing entire story albums and the beats suffered working with avg cac producers likr snowgoons.

But their first 3 and black trash are standard bangers.

Heres a banger from 03/04 that never released

Onyx was a top 5 rap group imo. And was better than MOP at the same style.

My fav joints are mos def, shout, see you in hell, last dayz, evil streets remix, thangz changed, shut em down n remix, the worst, that hidden joint with lost boyz. Lots of songs

Sticky was also one of my fav rappers growing up; Top 5 at the very least for 10 years.

Onyx had some nice albums.... Shut Em Down was NICE and All We Got Iz Us is also a solid release. Their debut was more wild style and fun type of music but that album when it dropped was huge, everyone was listening to that around the time here in VA.

Sticky was nice as well, you always waited for his verse on the albums.

Definitely not corny. Onyx was dope AF.

For those of us who grew up during that era ('92-'95), you remember seeing mad MC's trying to bite Onyx's whole style. They came in doing something original and had legends trying to do what they were doing, and labels were actually signing Onyx clones to capitalize on the wave.

First three albums had crazy production, and none of them sounded alike. After the third joint, they ran out of steam, but they were always a dope group.

Didn't even realize that...who was considered an onyx clone?
