Peace isn't apart of the equation.

Its a simple question: Does god exist or not.

You can be an atheist republican, soldier, firefighter, librarian, etc.

It doesn't speak to any other issue.

Religion is actually a main factor in almost every conflict in history. Most atheists are humanists and critical thinkers and just see no real evidence for God. They want to stop scientific ignorance and encourage independent thought.
