Hogan/Warrior at Wrestlemania VI will forever be the match that I marked out for the most. I'm not convinced I'd had my "Santa Claus isn't real" moment by then... it was probably the second PPV I ever saw and from the Cokeboy intro with all the constellations to the hug at the end it's fukking indelibly inked on my brain.

I don't think much of either of them as workers anymore, but this match proves it's not all about workrate. This was the perfect angle at the perfect time making a perfect story with the perfect characters. If you were 8 at the time like I was anyway.

CLOSE second is Bret/Bulldog at Summerslam '92 at Wembley - far better in terms of workrate, in-match story and one of the hottest crowds pre-Attitude WWF ever saw, but I was older, knew it was fake and saw the Bulldog win coming a MILE off (they could never resist giving Bulldog the rub in the UK)

My fam couldnt afford wm 18 at the time cuz we didnt pay thecable bill. So i watched it scrambled old school like we used to be able to do before cable boxes. So i only HEARD it. Imagine that for a second. The crowd was so hyped it was listening to tv at edge of my seat like it was a radio of ali vs fraiser.

When i finally saw it i couldnt believe how good it was compared to hogan in wcw

No one knew what to expect. The way they sold everything had us all believing Shawn wasnt 100% yet
