The Comfort Zone
Billie Jean was the #1 song in America when I was born :blessed:

Caught the tailend of the 80s
Enjoyed being a kid in the early 90s
(Ate well during the golden-era of black television and music not this ratchet reality tv :scusthov: )
Came of age in the mid-late 90s
Enjoyed college in the early-mid 2000s
And as you can see by my avi, I still look good in 2014 :shaq:

CLASS OF 1984 represent.

Was a wee youngin during the 80s...
Experienced the 90s and have fond memories of it.
Was a teen during the 90s
High school years stretched from 1998-2002.
College through the 00s
Lived through the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st
Experienced pre 9/11 America and have very fond memories of it.
Living as an adult in post 9/11 america
Was able to adapt to the new technology of the 00s and beyond and grew up with the tech of the old. (I had my cassette walkman and my smartphone rocking today on the train...)

And I'm still 29...so.:yeshrug:

I think if you're born in the 80s your the bridge between modern and futuristic, you remember the commodore computers but also have seen the lenovo fliptop laptop :win: But in reality if we talkin' about being black, I say 90s, less gang violence, less racism. If it's about culture, definitely the 50s, because then you grew up in the 70s :win:

The 90s. I would never want to grow up in the Dark Ages of the 80s and 90s and have no cell phone or internet.

I will say that one benefit of being born in 83 is that I'm old enough to remember what it was like to not have technology (having to research encyclopedias for reports, having to actually remember #'s and call people's houses, etc.) but young enough to know how to use technology.

:blessed:

I remember tandy computers and early apples...I was so into computers from a young age....same with most of my family.
