Paul Pierce was the 2nd best SF of the 00s. Pierce was also better than T-Mac in 05, 06, and 07. 06 is not even close, that was Pierce's best season in the league. I can argue Pierce being the best SF that season

How so? T-Mac took damn near 8 more shots per game to only score about 4 more points than Pierce. Their rebound & assist numbers are basically a wash. Pierce shot a higher overrall fg%, higher 2pt % and 3pt %. What it boils down to is scoring, and McGrady took way more shots than Pierce did that season. Paul Pierce changed his whole game that year under Doc. Pierce was never selfish the way Melo is today, but under Doc he bought into his system and became a much better player.

Tracy changed his game too playing under Jeff Van Gundy. JVG entire focus was on the defensive end and liked to play a grind it out slow paced game on the offensive end. Tracy was a much better playermaker than Pierce and was better defensively too. When he played a faster pace in the playoffs his numbers went right back up to 31/7/6 like they were in Orlando. I don't think it was close that year at all between those 2.
