Tracy changed his game too playing under Jeff Van Gundy. JVG entire focus was on the defensive end and liked to play a grind it out slow paced game on the offensive end. Tracy was a much better playermaker than Pierce and was better defensively too. When he played a faster pace in the playoffs his numbers went right back up to 31/7/6 like they were in Orlando. I don't think it was close that year at all between those 2.

I disagree, especially about T-Mac being a better playmaker and defensive player. 04-05 playoffs, T-mac took 24 fga per game, Pierce took 13. They played in two completely different systems to just look at stats. T-Mac was another dude who took a billion shots and always had the ball in his hands, whereas Pierce has always been a team player and within the offense guy. Again, nobody was watching Paul Pierce before 08 tho.

I find it hilarious that Pierce only has one season where he averaged over 20 fga, yet he still has more 2k point seasons than T-Mac. :heh:

He's got a long way to go. Without rings, or mvp's he'll have to score a shyt ton of points.

maybe maybe not....its the basketball HOF...not the NBA HOF...i think cats forget that...

that syracuse team he led to the ncaa title might be enough to get him in....

i dont think points will be a problem tho :shaq:
