When it's all said and done. Melo will end up being this dude. Talented but will end up flabby and sick, and will only be a contributor to a championship...if he even gets to one. Dude is the epitome of the me player. This is comin from a fukkin Knicks fan. Dude just isn't that leader type.

he was better than Paul last year

he finished #3 in the fukking MVP race

how can he finish #3 in MVP and not even be the 3rd best player at his position?
Going by that logic Dirk was better than KG and Duncan in 07, Nash and Dirk were better than Kobe in 06 and 07 and Iverson, Carter and McGrady were better than Kobe in 2000 and in 2001, Arenas, Ray Allen, Wade, McGrady, Carter and Iverson were better than Kobe in 2005 since they finished higher in the MVP voting.

You really want to go there?

Melo wasn't top 3 at his position, because he wasn't better than Lebron, George or Durant. You would have to be an idiot to think otherwise.

I thought he was better than George and Durant. :yeshrug: Opinions differ. Stop acting like its a fact those dudes were better. Only thing close to a fact is LeBron since he won the title. And maybe Durant since he had better stats overall. But George had much worse stats. Dude only came into his own in the playoffs.

You have to take the playoffs into consideration. When you factor in defense and passing its not close at all.

You do agree your MVP argument was a stupid one? You're the same one that's always saying you don't care about the MVP award, because old cacs vote for it, yet you used it to back up your argument.

I like George but passing? Dude doesn't even average any assists let alone handle the ball to cause points on hockey assists. Now your reaching. Only thing Paul for on Melo is defense. And I would say Melo's advantage on offense cancels that out.

I think the MVP voting argument is stupid but only used it since many other morons on here keep bringing it up anytime the convo relates to Kobe. Either MVP voting counts or it don't. I thought Melo was better without bringing the MVP voting into the discussion. I just used it since many clowns have been using it so much when it comes to other players.

I watched every playoff game and most of the nationally televised games in which the Knicks and Pacers played. George is nice but at best they are even passing the ball. Neither is special. Melo is the more dominant offensive player and that is why I think he's better.
